What we have to offer

As a dedicated business association, TBRA is a starting point when voicing any concern or problem faced by Tower Bridge Road. The association helps to bring businesses and residents together and work as a team to campaign together on issues.

The association focuses on providing services to businesses; these include networking, training, advice and improvements to shop frontages.

TBRA aims to make Tower Bridge Road as safe and secure as possible – and the perception of a safe area is as important as the crime statistics. By helping to improve the profile of Tower Bridge Road and brand the High Street positively through marketing, we hope we can achieve this.

TBRA spearheads campaigns to improve and enhance the public realm with capital projects and greening initiatives. By making physical improvements and working to raise the image of the area and its businesses, the buzz and vibrancy will increase footfall and trade, making the High Street desirable to businesses, residents and visitors.

Special free events such as the annual Christmas Fayre will increase community cohesion, resulting in the much wanted status of number one social hotspot!

A new loyalty scheme specific to Tower Bridge Road will give consumers the encouragement to keep their pounds local and the business directory will continuously promote Tower Bridge Road and its businesses online.

    • Dear Wayne,

I hope you are well. Great to hear from a local business!

Please have a look at the different sections (About Us / Mission) of the website for more information about TBRA. We have previously organised two steering group meetings, which were well publicised and attended by many business owners and residents. Invites for the meetings were sent via text message and email; both have been conveniently held at Southwark Council’s office in Tooley Street.

In 2013, a poster campaign titled ‘Tower Bridge Road Needs You’ was launched to encourage businesses and residents to join the steering group. Local Councillors helped us by visiting each and every business with posters and we also had a chance to meet and speak to business owners. I do remember giving posters to the Bridge House, along with an introduction letter and card.

I will be adding your personal email to our database (Bridge House is already added) so you can be kept informed about news, events and meetings. If you or a colleague are interested in becoming a volunteer of the TBRA, please do come along to our next steering group meeting, we’d love to have more local businesses on board!

      Best Wishes

      Suhel Ahmed
